Schedule for the General Elections to the Legislative Assemblies of Gujarat, The terms of the Legislative Assembly of Gujarat is normally due to expire on January 22, 2018. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress are trying their best to woo the voters in the state. The total number of Assembly Constituencies in the State of Gujarat are 182. Out of these 142 seats reserved for general castes, 13 for the Scheduled Castes and 27 the Scheduled Tribes. Gujarat elections, which would be two-phase, would be held on December 9 and December 14, 2017. Counting of votes will take place on December 18, 2017.
